Accessibility Statement
Last updated: October 24, 2026
PASTE_YOUR_COMPANY_OR_FULL_NAME is committed to making VicPicQuest usable by everyone, including people with disabilities. We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA and to meet our obligations under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
What we do
- Full keyboard navigation with visible focus indicators and a "Skip to main content" link.
- Semantic page structure, landmarks, labeled form fields and ARIA where needed; screen-reader announcements for status messages.
- An alt text field on every photo upload, with the title used as a fallback if none is provided.
- Light and dark themes (respecting your system setting) with color contrast designed to meet WCAG AA.
- Respect for the "reduce motion" system preference: animations and confetti are turned off.
- Resizable text and responsive layouts that work when zoomed to 200% and on small screens.
- Touch targets sized for easy tapping. Videos never autoplay with sound and use standard, accessible controls.
- Timeouts are gentle: warnings appear before any limit, and you can read and act on them by keyboard.
Known limitations
- Member-uploaded videos may not yet include captions or audio descriptions. We encourage members to describe their media in the caption and alt text, and we're working on caption support.
- Member-provided alt text quality varies.
Tell us about a barrier
If you have trouble using any part of VicPicQuest, please tell us so we can fix it or provide the information another way. Use our Feedback page (choose "Accessibility") or email PASTE_SUPPORT_EMAIL. We aim to reply within 2 business days.
